Chocolate Orange Palmiers

Ingredients
- Puff pastry 14 oz
- Granulated sugar 3/4 cup
- Orange zest Zest from 2 large or 3 smaller oranges
- Dark or semisweet chocolate 4 oz
Preparation Instructions
Zest the oranges and massage the zest into the sugar. Optional: spread on a baking sheet and let it dry in the sun for about an hour (it spreads better this way). Sprinkle an even layer of sugar on a clean surface, then place your thawed puff pastry on top. Sprinkle your orange sugar liberally onto your puff pastry, then press the sugar in with your hands. Roll out your puff pastry with a rolling pin. Fold the puff pastry to create layers, sprinkle sugar on each fold, and freeze for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 400˚F. Cut the puff pastry into cookies and bake. Dip in melted chocolate and sprinkle with orange sugar. Enjoy!
