Eggo Apple Pie Empanadas

Ingredients

  • Eggo waffles 6
  • Apple pie filling 1 can
  • Egg 1 (beaten)
  • Sugar 4 tbsp
  • Cinnamon 1 tbsp

Preparation Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 425 F. Place the Eggo waffles on a microwave-safe dish and microwave for 30 seconds. You just want them to thaw and be bendable. 2. Place a spoonful of apple pie filling in the center of each waffle. Crack the egg into a bowl and beat it. Use a food-safe brush to egg wash the edges all the way around each waffle. Bend each waffle in half and use a fork to crimp the edges together. 3. Line a baking pan with parchment paper and place the waffles on it. Put them in the oven for 10 minutes, flipping them halfway through. 4. Pour the sugar and cinnamon into a bowl and mix until combined. 5. Take the empanadas out and roll them in the mixture until evenly coated. 6. Enjoy!
