Easy Pan Fried Cod

Ingredients
- All-purpose flour 1/2 cup
- Baking powder 1/2 tbsp
- Water 1/2 cup
- Egg 1
- Cod fillets as needed
- Kosher salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Preparation Instructions
1. In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour, baking powder, water, and egg to make the batter. Add seasonings like paprika or cayenne pepper if desired and let it sit for 5 minutes. 2. Cut the cod fillets into strips resembling chicken fingers and season with kosher salt and black pepper. 3. Heat oil in a pan. Dip the fish strips in the batter and fry in the oil until golden brown on both sides. 4. Place the cooked fish on a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate. Season with kosher salt. 5. Serve the pan-fried cod hot with tartar sauce or use them to make delicious fish tacos.
