Ingredients

  • Potatoes 2 pounds
  • Onion 1 large
  • Eggs 4
  • All-purpose flour 1/4 cup
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Vegetable oil 1/2 cup

Preparation Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. 2. Peel and grate the potatoes and onion using a grater or food processor. 3. Place the grated potatoes and onion in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out excess moisture. 4. In a large bowl, mix the potatoes, onion, eggs, flour, salt, and black pepper until well combined. 5. Pour the vegetable oil into the baking dish and place it in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, until hot. 6. Carefully remove the hot dish from the oven and pour in the potato mixture. 7. Smooth out the top of the kugel with a spatula. 8. Bake the kugel in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set. 9. Let the kugel cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
